Phosphopeptide Kit

Phosphopeptide identification is one of the most important applications in the field of proteomic research. CTI has created two Phosphopeptide Kits to help with the identification of phosphopeptides in one easy analysis. The analysis is based on two dimensional LC/MS/MS using a pH gradient with strong anion exchange (SAX), followed by a reversed phase gradient. The first dimension uses the pH gradient from our Phosphopeptide Kit to fractionate the peptides. The acidic nature of phosphopeptides makes it suitable for effective separation by SAX column. The newly invented buffer system (patent filed) is MS-compatible and does not require extensive post-column washing after the first SAX separation. The second dimension separates the fractionated peptides by the reversed phase gradient with CTI capillary C18 column which feeds directly to the ESI of mass spectrometer for identification. This method can be done using CTI Phosphopeptide Kit – 1.
